Instead, cosmetics offer a new path to uniqueness, though their availability is limited and requires unlocking.

Where to Find Cosmetics in R.E.P.O.

Cosmetics function differently from weapons and items in R.E.P.O. Rather than spawning and claiming space in the Service Station, they are tied to Tax Tokens. These tokens are not found in the environment; instead, they are purchased inside the Service Station via a large pillar featuring a spinning cry-laugh emoji.

To obtain cosmetics:

• Gather Tax Tokens from boxes hidden in specific levels: Headman Manor, McJannek Station, Swiftbroom Academy, and Museum of Human Art.
• Extract tokens from the boxes using the Extraction Point.
• Insert tokens into the dispenser inside the Service Station to receive a random cosmetic.

Rarity Tiers and Box Colors in R.E.P.O.

There are over 500 unique cosmetic items available in the update. These cosmetics are initially found as boxes scattered across levels, with their rarity indicated by color:
