Takara Tomy has announced a new Pokémon gacha toy line, featuring figures of four characters that play and hide inside boxes designed for capsule machines. The collection is set to debut in Japan in May 2026, with each capsule priced at 300円 (~$2).
Unlike Bandai Namco’s Gashapon line, these Pokémon gacha toys are produced exclusively by Takara Tomy. While they may not appear in capsule machines worldwide, they could still be available through Takara Tomy’s category on platforms like Amazon or specialty stores such as Simply Toyz.
The set includes four Pokémon figures, each packaged with a unique box:
- Eevee
- Gimmighoul (Roaming Form)
- Minccino
- Totodile
Each figure can be displayed either inside or outside its box. For example, Eevee, Gimmighoul, and Minccino are shown sitting inside their boxes, while Totodile is posed to allow the box to be placed on top, giving the illusion of sneaking around. The boxes themselves feature distinct designs.

This marks one of the latest Pokémon capsule toy collections in Japan, following Bandai Namco’s release of keychains featuring all starter trios to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary. Takara Tomy’s new gacha toys will launch in Japan in May 2026, with no confirmed global release date yet.
In other Pokémon news, the latest games include Pokémon Champions on the Switch and Pokémon Pokopia on the Switch 2. Additionally, Pokémon Champions is set to launch on Android and iOS mobile devices in late 2026.
