In January, I followed through on a long-standing plan and installed Linux on my desktop. My goal was simple: see how far I could get using Linux as my main computer without extensive pre-install research or post-install troubleshooting. Three months later, my experience has been so seamless that I’ve only booted into Windows twice—once to scan a multipage document that Linux struggled with, and once to print a school photo at the last minute.

It’s taken me this long to write the next update in my Linux diary because, frankly, nothing has gone wrong. The install didn’t just work—it felt natural from day one. What started as a novelty quickly became the default, and now Windows feels like an unnecessary detour.
