ABT’s $18,200 Package Transforms Audi A6 eHybrid into a 422-HP Performance Sedan
ABT Sportsline has launched a tuning package that converts the Audi A6 eHybrid Quattro into a 422-horsepower performance sedan, offering a compelling alternative to the absent combustion S6. The package includes a glossy black bodykit, quad tailpipes, and optional 21-inch alloy wheels and lowering springs.
With Audi reserving the S6 badge for the all-electric S6 e-tron, ABT’s upgrade fills a significant void in the performance sedan market. The package is based on the A6 eHybrid Quattro S Tronic, a plug-in hybrid featuring a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and a 14.1 kWh battery pack. The system delivers an EV-only WLTP range of up to 69 miles (111 km) between charges.
Performance Upgrades
At the heart of the ABT package is the Power module, which increases the combined output of the PHEV system from 362 hp (270 kW / 367 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque to 422 hp (315 kW / 428 PS) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). Power is routed to all four wheels via a seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s Quattro system.
While these figures fall short of the 444 hp (331 kW / 450 PS) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) produced by the previous-generation S6’s twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6, ABT claims this is the most powerful version of the C9 generation to date. It surpasses the 362 hp (270 kW / 367 PS) output of the US-spec model equipped with the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6.
Handling and Styling Enhancements
The performance boost is complemented by a set of lowering springs, which improve handling and give the executive sedan a more aggressive stance. Visually, ABT offers a subtle bodykit featuring a sharper front splitter and a rear wing with floating fins, all finished in glossy black. Buyers can also opt for a matching set of 21-inch ABT Sport HR21 alloy wheels fitted with performance tires.
At the rear, the package includes matte black quad tailpipes made of stainless steel, enhancing the Audi Sport aesthetic. Interior upgrades are limited to ABT-branded floor mats and puddle lights.
Pricing and Availability
The complete ABT package, including the bodykit, wheels, lowering springs, and power module, is priced at €15,500 ($18,200). Buyers can also purchase individual components, with the power upgrade available for €2,990 ($3,500) and a full wheel and tire set for €7,600 ($8,900).
The base A6 eHybrid Avant starts at €77,550 ($90,800) in Germany before any ABT modifications. The tuner also offers the same treatment for the Sedan bodystyle and for the less potent PHEV variant.
