Audi has expanded its Chinese lineup with the introduction of the A6L e-tron, an electric sedan that builds on the recently launched A6L with significant upgrades in size, power, and range.

Extended Wheelbase and Spacious Interior

The A6L e-tron features a wheelbase stretched by 5.2 inches (132 mm), enhancing rear passenger comfort with flagship-level legroom. This extended platform, developed by Audi FAW, provides the foundation for a larger battery and advanced drivetrain.

Battery and Range: Up to 506 Miles

The electric sedan is equipped with a 107 kWh battery pack, enabling a CLTC range of up to 506 miles (815 km). The A6L e-tron will be available in Long and Extended Range variants to suit different driving needs.

High-Performance AWD System

Most versions of the A6L e-tron come with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, delivering 543 hp (405 kW / 551 PS) and 574 lb-ft (779 Nm) of torque. This powertrain allows the sedan to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds. Thanks to its 800V architecture, the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in as little as 21 minutes.

Styling and Aerodynamics

While the A6L e-tron retains a familiar design language, it incorporates subtle changes such as longer rear doors and a less dramatic roofline. Despite these updates, the model achieves an impressive drag coefficient of 0.22, contributing to its efficiency.

Premium Interior and Technology

The interior of the A6L e-tron is equipped with modern features, including:

  • 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 14.5-inch infotainment system
  • 10.9-inch front passenger display
  • Two 7-inch screens for digital side mirrors

Additional premium options include:

  • Sports seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions
  • Dimming panoramic glass roof
  • 20-speaker Bang Olufsen premium audio system

Pricing and Availability

The A6L e-tron starts at ¥309,800 ($45,317) in China, with the range-topping variant priced at ¥439,800 ($64,333). The model debuted at Auto China in Beijing and is now available for customers seeking a long-range, high-performance electric sedan.
