Holostars' Banzoin Hakka on Moving to Japan, Upcoming Mini 3D Live & Career Growth

Vtuber Banzoin Hakka, a standout member of Holostars English, is widely recognized for his powerful vocals and musical talent. Following his birthday stream on April 21, 2026, he will perform a Mini 3D Live featuring special guests on April 24, 2026. Beyond streaming, Hakka is also lending his voice to the upcoming visual novel otome game lovebyte.exe.

Siliconera recently spoke with Hakka to discuss his latest projects, schedule adjustments, and his move to Japan.

Moving to Japan: Challenges and Adjustments

Jenni Lada: You’ve been incredibly busy since we last spoke. One major change is your move to Japan. How have you been settling in, and what surprises have you encountered?

Banzoin Hakka: HELLO! WOW, you’re right! It’s been a long time since we last spoke, haha! It’s been a mix of ups and downs, but so far, it’s been pretty good! I’m not complaining, hehe. I’d visited Japan multiple times before moving, so I was somewhat prepared for the Tokyo lifestyle, haha. But visiting and living here is INSANELY different!

Without tooting my own AIR DEMON horn, I’d like to say I’ve been adapting quite well. I managed to get my taxes done, moved into my own place, and even received my first noise complaint (WORKING ON GETTING THAT SOUND BOOTH LOL!). This is just the life of a responsible rockstar; what can I say, haha!

My biggest challenge was finding an apartment, but after a lot of effort and research with Tokimane, we finally secured the perfect place that the Hakkitos and I can call home. Apartment hunting and adulting aside, life has been good! I’m excited to keep growing both personally and professionally with Japan as my new home base.

Streaming and Performing Schedule Post-Move

Jenni Lada: How has the move affected your streaming and performing schedule?

Banzoin Hakka: I’m happy to announce that the move hasn’t affected my streaming times at all! I’ve always been an early riser, except on my days off—those are my ‘barely alive days’ LMAO (I sleep for like 12 hours). If anything, the added responsibility of living in Japan has inspired me to do even more and take things more seriously. I’m seriously in love with my job, so I want to keep doing this for as long as possible. In the words of a little wise exorcist, ‘we keep balling and we never give up!’
