Kevin Warsh, President Donald Trump’s nominee to chair the Federal Reserve, evaded key questions on Tuesday about his financial ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during his confirmation hearing before the Senate Banking Committee.

Senator Elizabeth Warren pressed Warsh on more than $100 million in undisclosed investments, including assets held in entities called “THSDFS LLC” and the “Juggernaut Fund.” Warren specifically asked whether any of Warsh’s assets were connected to President Trump or his family, the Chinese government, money laundering, or Jeffrey Epstein.

Warsh refused to provide a direct answer, stating only that he would sell those investments if confirmed. Warren persisted, demanding clarity on whether Warsh had financial ties to Epstein.

“Are you refusing to tell us if you have investments, for example, in vehicles set up to advance Jeffrey Epstein? Is that what you’re telling us—you just won’t tell us?”

Warsh again declined to respond directly.

“Senator, what I’m telling you is that those assets that you represent at Juggernaut will be sold if I’m confirmed before I take office and sign the oath of office.”

Warren then asked if Warsh would disclose how he planned to handle the divestment of these secret assets, citing a hypothetical scenario where a billionaire seeking influence from the Fed might offer him $100 million. Warsh again avoided answering, reiterating his agreement with the Office of Government Ethics to divest his assets.

Warsh’s name has appeared in government files related to Epstein, though this does not imply any involvement in Epstein’s crimes. The documents do, however, indicate that the two traveled in the same social circles.

If confirmed, Warsh would become the wealthiest Federal Reserve chair in over a century. He is married to billionaire heiress Jane Lauder, granddaughter of Estée Lauder and daughter of Republican donor Ronald Lauder.

Is Warsh’s evasiveness a tactic to distance himself from these connections, or does it stem from actual undisclosed assets linked to the notorious criminal?
