Two Mansory-tuned Smart Fortwos are currently listed in France, priced up to $82,300. These luxury city cars boast carbon fiber bodykits, custom interiors, and underpowered engines—yet command sports car prices.

Mansory’s Take on the Smart Fortwo: A High-End City Car?

French dealer Royal Cars is offering two Mansory-tuned Smart Fortwos, both priced like mid-engine sports cars. The first is a 2019 model with 15,300 km (9,500 miles), finished in Lamborghini Grey with exposed carbon fiber trim. The second is a 2017 Mansory Fortwo Cabrio with 22,600 km (14,040 miles), painted in Matte Military Green.

Exterior & Interior Upgrades

The Mansory bodykit includes wide fender flares, a front splitter, side intake garnish, a roof spoiler, and a rear diffuser with quad tailpipes. The 2019 model skips AMG-style bumper intakes, which are sold separately as part of Mansory’s soft kit.

The cabin features a fully reworked interior with 18-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels. While interior photos are not provided, Mansory’s typical upgrades include Alcantara, leather, and carbon fiber inserts. The cabriolet model includes a beige leather interior.

Engine & Performance

Both models retain Smart’s 900cc (0.9-liter) turbocharged three-cylinder engine, paired with an automatic transmission. The stock output is 89 hp (66 kW / 90 PS) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque. Mansory’s tune increases these figures to 123 hp (92 kW / 125 PS) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft).

Pricing & Market Comparison

The grey hatchback is listed at €67,900 ($80,000), while the matte green cabriolet is priced at €69,900 ($82,300). At these prices, buyers could instead opt for a used Porsche 718 Cayman, Alpine A110, or Toyota GR Supra—making the Mansory Smart a questionable investment.

The Future of Smart: The Electric #2

A new electric Smart #2 is expected to launch later in 2024, replacing the discontinued Fortwo. The upcoming model will feature a larger footprint, increased range, and a more premium cabin. Despite its higher price compared to previous models, it will likely remain more affordable than Mansory’s tuned Fortwos.
