In Minnesota, Anthony Stephen Israelson was convicted of two misdemeanors for operating a school bus while intoxicated. The case originated from an incident in 2024 when Israelson drove a school bus carrying more than a dozen children, ranging from kindergarten to 10th grade. His blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was measured at 0.161, which exceeds the legal limit for commercial drivers by more than four times.

Israelson received a jail sentence of 364 days for each misdemeanor count. However, all but one day of the sentence was suspended. As part of his sentencing, he must complete two years of supervised probation and undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
