Spotify Introduces Fitness Video Hub with Peloton Partnership
Spotify is deepening its commitment to video content by launching a new fitness hub. The platform, originally known for music streaming, now offers guided workout experiences from leading creators and a growing library of over 1,400 Peloton fitness classes.
The fitness hub is available to both free and premium subscribers. Top creators producing content for the platform include Chloe Ting, Yoga With Kassandra, Caitlin K’eli Yoga, Sweaty Studio, Pilates Body By Raven, Abi Mills Wellness, and Sophiereidfit.
“For nearly two decades, Spotify has been the soundtrack to the world’s workouts,” said Roman Wasenmüller, global head of podcasts at Spotify. “By bringing thousands of creators and partners like Peloton directly into our video and audio ecosystem, we are investing in a future where Spotify isn’t just where you spend your time—it’s where you go to build momentum, improve your wellbeing, and get more out of every day.”
Peloton Classes Now Available on Spotify
The Peloton partnership provides premium subscribers in select markets with access to a catalog of over 1,400 fitness classes. These classes do not require additional equipment, such as the Peloton bike, and include on-demand options for strength, cardio, outdoor runs, yoga, and meditation.
Notable instructors featured in the catalog include Rebecca Kennedy, Ally Love, and Rad Lopez.
Spotify’s Push into Video Content
This initiative reinforces Spotify’s growing emphasis on video content. The platform has prioritized video through exclusive music videos and video podcasts. Earlier in 2024, Spotify expanded monetization tools for creators and broadened distribution to compete with platforms like YouTube. The company has evolved from an audio-only service into a full-scale alternative for creators building sustainable podcast and fitness businesses.
Fitness Demand Drives Spotify’s Expansion
Spotify reports that fitness is a primary category for its users. Nearly 70% of Premium subscribers engage in monthly workouts, and the platform hosts over 150 million active fitness playlists globally. The new fitness hub addresses rising user demand in this category.
Since launching its Spotify Partner Program last year, monthly video podcast consumption on the platform has nearly doubled. The average podcast user now streams twice as many video shows per month compared to pre-program launch, indicating a shift toward video-first engagement.
How to Access Spotify’s Fitness Hub
Subscribers can find the fitness hub by searching “fitness” on the platform. The hub offers on-demand classes and curated, high-energy workout playlists. Most content is available in English, with select options in Spanish and German.
