President Donald Trump escalated his criticism of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, targeting Democratic justices in a Truth Social post just hours before the court released its latest rulings.

In the post, Trump lamented what he described as a tight-knit minority of Democratic appointees on the bench, writing,

"The Democrat Justices stick together like glue, NEVER failing to wander from the warped and perverse policies, ideas, and cases put before them."

He singled out Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, appointed by President Joe Biden, with a disparaging remark:

"They ALWAYS vote as a group, or BLOCK, even that new, Low IQ person, that somehow found her way to the bench (Sleepy Joe!)."

Trump also criticized Republican justices, claiming they frequently side with Democrats on key issues. He referenced recent decisions, including one on tariffs, and expressed frustration over an upcoming ruling on birthright citizenship.

"The Republican Justices don’t stick together, they give the Democrats win after win,"
he wrote.

Trump’s post included a false claim, asserting that no other country grants birthright citizenship—a statement contradicted by global immigration policies. He added,

"No, certain ‘Republican’ Justices have just gone weak, stupid, and bad, completely violating what they ‘supposedly’ stood for."

The president’s remarks came shortly after the Supreme Court released two rulings on Wednesday, neither of which addressed birthright citizenship. His comments reflected growing tension with the judiciary, which he accused of failing to uphold conservative principles.

Trump’s frustration appeared to stem partly from remarks made by political commentator James Carville. On his podcast last week, Carville suggested that if Democrats win the presidency and control both houses of Congress, they should grant statehood to Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., and expand the Supreme Court to 13 seats.

Trump responded by calling Carville a “wacko.” In a Truth Social post on Tuesday, he warned,

"If they pull off adding these two States, these Country Destroying Sleazebags will dominate politics in America, if we even have a Nation left, for 100 years."

Despite the conservative majority on the Supreme Court, Trump insisted in his Tuesday post that Democrats already controlled the bench.

"They are an immovable force, and there is nothing that can be done to change that. Frankly, I respect that, a lot!"
