Dodge, in partnership with Stellantis, challenged students to reimagine the future of SRT performance through its annual Drive for Design contest. The winners, spanning hypercars, muscle reinterpretations, and even a motorcycle, showcased bold ideas that blend speed, power, and attitude. The results prove that creativity knows no age limit.
Meet the Youngest Winners
Among the standout entries were designs from the contest’s youngest participants. Catherine Codouni, a first grader, submitted a sketch that merges vintage muscle car aesthetics with modern elements. Her design features a yellow hood and a shooting brake silhouette, drawing inspiration from recent Dodge models like the Challenger while pushing into uncharted territory.
Richie LeBlanc, a fifth grader, took a more aggressive approach. His sports car concept incorporates Porsche-inspired curves, a classic Dodge crosshair grille, and prominent hood scoops. The design could easily serve as the foundation for a next-generation Viper, blending retro styling with high-performance cues.
Innovative Concepts from Middle School Designers
Jaxon Brobst, an eighth grader, delivered one of the most unconventional entries: the SRT Ram Charger. This hybrid vehicle merges the ruggedness of a truck, the utility of an SUV, and the spirit of a muscle car. Key features include:
- Giant off-road tires for off-road capability
- A built-in UAV/drone integrated into the hood
- A spare tire mounted on the rear
- Glass doors for enhanced visibility
- A hammock replacing the back seat—perfect for adventurers who want to relax mid-ride
The SRT Ram Charger is a playful yet practical take on adventure mobility, blending utility with a touch of whimsy.
Top Winners: High School Seniors Steal the Show
The contest’s top three winners are all high school seniors, each bringing a unique perspective to SRT performance.
1. Javier Espino – Nighthawk SRT
Javier Espino claimed the third-place spot with the Nighthawk SRT, a design that pays homage to the legendary Dodge Tomahawk. The Nighthawk features aggressive yet refined styling, suggesting a powerful powertrain without overdoing the aesthetics. Its name and design language evoke speed and precision.
2. Owen Bronso – SRT Mayhem
Owen Bronso secured second place with the SRT Mayhem, a hypercar that draws inspiration from fighter jets and classic Dodge muscle cars. The design is angular and aerodynamic, with a central driving position that emphasizes performance and track readiness. The Mayhem would look right at home on any racetrack.
3. Felix Bucaro – Warhawk
Felix Bucaro took first place with the Warhawk, a design heavily influenced by military aircraft. The Warhawk’s sharp lines and dynamic proportions reflect the raw power and precision of fighter planes, making it a standout among the winning entries.
Dodge’s Drive for Design contest continues to highlight the untapped potential of young designers, proving that innovation isn’t limited by age. The winning concepts offer a glimpse into the future of SRT performance, blending creativity with the brand’s signature attitude.
