Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa confirmed the automaker’s recovery plans are yielding results, backed by a 12% surge in first-quarter shipments to dealers worldwide. The company delivered 1.4 million vehicles to dealers—an increase compared to the same period last year.
Regional Growth Highlights
North America and Europe led the gains, with 17% and 12% increases, respectively. In North America, the Ram 1500 Hemi V8, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and new Jeep Cherokee were the primary drivers of growth. Stellantis noted that these three models accounted for all the shipment growth, while lower Jeep Compass deliveries offset some of the gains.
Production adjustments were made to prioritize the Jeep Cherokee, which is manufactured at the Toluca, Mexico plant.
North America Sales Performance
Stellantis reported a 4% overall sales increase in North America for Q1, led by Ram’s 20% jump. Dodge saw a 4% rise, while Jeep posted a 3% year-over-year increase.
Ram’s Strong Q1 Performance
Ram’s growth was largely driven by the 1500 with the Hemi V8, which saw sales rise 27%—its best performance since Q1 2023.
Jeep’s Notable Gains
Jeep’s Wrangler sales climbed 17%, marking its highest level since Q1 2022. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer also contributed to the brand’s growth.
Dodge’s Standout Performer
The Dodge Durango led the brand’s growth with a 48% year-over-year increase in sales.
"We continue to build strong momentum with 4% year-over-year growth, improving market share in an industry that is forecasted to be down approximately 6% based on early reports. There have been plenty of challenges facing the industry this quarter, but these results are proof that we are effectively activating our business reset. They also reflect the confidence we have in our product lineup and dealer network. As more new vehicles reach showrooms, we’re offering customers the right blend of capability, design and powertrain choice to keep our brands competitive and growing."
