Hundreds of thousands of MAGA supporters are still waiting for their Trump T1 phones—eight months after the promised September 2025 delivery date.
The Trump-branded cell phone, launched in June 2025, required a $100 deposit for early adopters who were assured they would receive the device by September. Yet, no refunds have been issued, and the Trump Mobile website offers no release date.
Frustrated customers have taken to social media to demand answers.
"Hey, Trump supporter here. This one goes out to Don Jr. and Eric … where the fuck’s my phone? I ordered three, no, four gold Trump phones in the summer."
An estimated 590,000 to 600,000 buyers contributed approximately $60 million to the Trump Organization through deposits. However, NBC News and Popular Information reported that customer support repeatedly delayed or refused refund requests.
One X user, MAGA Cult Slayer, highlighted the issue:
"600,000 people ordered the Trump phone, put a $100 deposit down, and never got it. So where’s the $60 million, Donnie?"
The Trump Mobile website continues to accept new deposits, despite the ongoing controversy. This is the latest in a series of setbacks for the T1 phone program.
Broken Promises: From "Made in USA" to Vague Marketing
Initially, Donald Trump Jr. promised that the phones would be "built in the United States of America."
"We have to bring manufacturing back here," Don Jr. stated in an interview with podcaster Benny Johnson.
However, within weeks of the website’s launch, all references to American manufacturing were removed. The product description was revised to claim the phone would be "designed with American values in mind" and have "American hands behind every device"—vague promises that lack clarity.
Specs Shrink: Screen Size and RAM Disappear
Investigations by The Verge revealed additional changes to the T1 phone’s advertised specifications:
- Screen size reduced from 6.78 inches to 6.25 inches.
- RAM specifications, initially listed as 12GB, were completely removed from product listings.
The Trump Organization has yet to address these discrepancies or provide a timeline for deliveries or refunds.
