Adam Scott’s fascination with horror began early—so early, in fact, that he describes watching horror movies at "probably too young" an age. Yet he never intended to specialize in the genre. Ironically, horror seemed to follow him from the start of his career.

His first major film role arrived in 1996 with Hellraiser IV.

"It wasn't because I was a Hellraiser fan,"
Scott explains.
"It was because it was the job I got."

Later, he took a leading role in Krampus—not because of its horror elements, but because the film evoked the nostalgic '80s movies he grew up with, such as Poltergeist and E.T.

Though unintentional, Scott has steadily amassed a strong portfolio in horror, including starring roles in critically acclaimed and cult-favorite films within the genre.
