The Chery Arrizo S is a new fastback sedan from China, with an exterior design heavily inspired by Audi models. The production version was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show and is expected to launch in late 2026, positioning above the existing Arrizo 5 and Arrizo 8 in Chery’s Chinese sedan lineup.

Design Inspirations from Audi RS6, A5, and A7

The Arrizo S is a four-door sedan with a fastback roofline and styling elements borrowed from across the Audi catalog. Key design features include:

  • Front fascia: Angular headlights, hexagonal grille, and aggressive lower bumper intakes inspired by the Audi RS6 and RS7 performance twins.
  • Side profile: Echoes the recently launched Audi A5.
  • Rear styling: A slim full-width taillight bar that mimics the Audi A7.

Chery has added sporty touches such as 19-inch alloy wheels, quad tailpipes, and an integrated ducktail spoiler, though the Arrizo S appears aimed more at comfort than high-performance driving.

Powertrain and Performance Specifications

According to reports from Chinese media, the production version of the Arrizo S is expected to feature a non-electrified turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing 257 hp (192 kW / 261 PS). Power will be sent to the front axle via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Interior and Technology Features

The interior of the Arrizo S adopts a layout typical of modern Chinese sedans, featuring:

  • A digital gauge cluster paired with a large central infotainment display.
  • A two-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls.
  • A center console with physical buttons and a rotary knob.

The cabin includes brown upholstery, purple ambient lighting, wood trim, and metal-finished speaker grilles. ADAS sensors integrated into the bodywork suggest the production model may include Chery’s Falcon Intelligent Driving system, an AI-backed driver assistance suite.

Market Positioning and Pricing

The Arrizo S is expected to join the Arrizo 5 and Arrizo 8 in Chery’s sedan lineup, with a possible market launch in late 2026. Given its larger footprint and more premium appearance, it will likely sit above the Arrizo 8 in price, which currently ranges between ¥99,900-148,900 ($14,600-21,800) in China.
