We’ve read every piece of feedback on the new homepage—from kind words to harsh criticism, from feature requests to bug reports, and yes, even the endless demand for dark mode. Your detailed responses after launch were especially valuable, helping us identify where the experience excels or falls short.

To be transparent, we’ve organized your feedback into three clear buckets: fixes we’re implementing, issues we’re investigating, and ideas we’re not pursuing right now.

Bucket 1: Yes, We Should Fix That

These are clear-cut issues we’ve already addressed or plan to resolve immediately.

  • Scrollbar on the feed — ✅ Fixed
  • “Read More” links in story groups — ✅ Fixed
  • “Read More” option for categories at the bottom of the page — ✅ Fixed

Bucket 2: This Is Worth Investigating

These are recurring requests or pain points worth deeper exploration, even if the exact solution isn’t finalized.

  • Latest feed presentation — Many users love the revchron feed style and want improvements to how the Latest feed is structured and engaged with.
  • Dark mode — We’re actively working on this feature.
  • Dates on curated stories — We removed them intentionally to prioritize older stories that add context to timely topics. We understand the frustration and are exploring ways to address it.
  • Marking stories as read/unread — A frequent request tied to a broader need for more personalized homepage experiences. This is in active planning stages.

Bucket 3: Not Right Now

These ideas are valuable but not feasible at this time due to resource constraints, strategic priorities, or long-term vision.

  • Free-to-Read and Subscriber Perks sections — We’ve temporarily removed these sections. We may revisit them in the future if it aligns with our goals.
  • Page structure changes — Some users want to combine curated stories with the firehose feed, while others prefer the current mix. We believe in this approach and will give it time before considering major structural changes.

We’re a small team, and every decision balances time, resources, editorial needs, business priorities, and our long-term vision for The [Company Name]. Thank you for your honesty and engagement—it shapes what we build next.
