Range Rover has launched the new SV Ultra, the brand’s most technologically advanced and luxurious flagship SUV to date. The model introduces a world-first SV Electrostatic Sound system, paired with a haptic floor and Body and Soul Seats (BASS) for an unparalleled in-cabin experience.
Positioned as the pinnacle of Range Rover’s lineup, the SV Ultra redefines flagship status with cutting-edge audio engineering, exclusive exterior and interior treatments, and a choice of powertrains including V8, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and battery-electric (BEV) options.
World-First Electrostatic Audio System & Haptic Floor
The centerpiece of the SV Ultra is the SV Electrostatic Sound system, designed to transform the cabin into a concert hall. This system features 21 lightweight thin-film transducers—each just 1mm thick—woven into the headrests, seatbacks, and headlining. These transducers respond up to 1,000 times faster than conventional speakers while consuming 90% less power.
To enhance the sensory experience, the system is paired with the Body and Soul Seats (BASS) and a Sensory Haptic Floor. Transducers embedded in the seats and beneath the footwell mats generate AI-tuned pulsations that can be felt as well as heard. Beyond entertainment, these features support six wellness modes, ranging from “Calm” to “Invigorating.”
Exclusive Exterior & Interior Design
The SV Ultra is built on the long-wheelbase four-seater Range Rover platform. Its exterior features an exclusive Titan Silver finish, enhanced with aluminum flakes to create a liquid-metal effect. Complementing this are Silver Chrome inserts on the front end and Satin Platinum Atlas accents on the grille, side gills, and tailgate garnish. The SUV rides on 23-inch alloy wheels with a bi-tone finish matching the exterior.
Inside, the SV Ultra abandons leather in favor of Orchid White and Cinder Grey Ultrafabrics. The seats are adorned with laser-crafted mosaic patterns and fine perforations that conceal the audio hardware. A standout feature is the new rattan palm veneer, preserved in its natural open-pore texture and finished with an Orchid White tint. This veneer extends from the dashboard to the electrically-deployable club tables in the rear.
Powertrain Options: V8, PHEV, and BEV
The SV Ultra offers three powertrain choices to suit different driving preferences:
- P540: A BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 producing 533 hp (397 kW / 540 PS).
- P550e (Plug-in Hybrid): Delivers a combined 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) with an EV-only range of 74 miles (119 km).
- BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle): Additional details on the electric variant were not disclosed in the announcement.
