After two weeks of testimony from witnesses who accused him of deceit, the jury heard directly from Sam Altman himself. His lawyer, William Savitt, concluded the proceedings by asking Altman how he felt about being accused of stealing a charity.
"We created, through a ton of hard work, this extremely large charity, and I agree you can't steal it," Altman said. "Mr. Musk did try to kill it, I guess. Twice."
Altman adopted a humble demeanor, portraying himself as a bewildered figure caught in an unjust situation. As he exited the stand, clutching a stack of evidence binders, observers noted his composed yet perplexed expression.
