The Lexus LBX Morizo RR has received its first model year updates, marking a refresh two years after its debut. The performance-focused subcompact crossover, developed with input from Akio Toyoda, retains its Gazoo Racing credentials while gaining new colors and enhanced equipment.

2026 LBX Morizo RR: Key Updates and Features

Exterior Changes and Color Options

The most notable update for the 2026 model year is the addition of the Neutrino Gray exterior shade, previously featured in the discontinued IS500 Climax Edition. This new color joins the existing palette, which includes White Nova, Heat Blue, Red Spinel, and Sonic Chrome, all paired with a contrasting black roof.

The Bespoke Build trim stands out with a contrasting yellow accent on the grille and matching brake calipers in select shades, echoing the spec of the 2024 Original Edition.

Interior Enhancements and Premium Options

Lexus has introduced the Ochre upholstery option to elevate the cabin’s premium feel, complementing the existing Black, Solis White, and Dark Rose themes. The Bespoke Build trim features black seat inserts and yellow seatbelts for a distinctive look.

Standard equipment now includes cold-weather specifications, a built-in dashcam, and fabric upholstery for the A-pillars and sun visors. Audiophiles can opt for the Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound system, which boasts 17 speakers.

Safety and Driver Assistance Upgrades

The Lexus Safety System+ has been enhanced with a driver monitor camera mounted on the steering column. Additional ADAS features include Proactive Driving Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Front Cross Traffic Alert.

Performance and Powertrain

Under the hood, the LBX Morizo RR retains its turbo 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine, shared with the GR Yaris and GR Corolla. This powertrain delivers 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Morizo RR’s unique chassis setup features a lowered suspension and wider tracks compared to the standard LBX lineup.

Pricing and Availability

The updated LBX Morizo RR is available to order in Japan, with a starting price of ¥6,800,000 ($43,100), representing an increase of ¥300,000 ($1,900) over its predecessor. The top-tier Bespoke Build edition is priced at ¥7,560,000 ($47,900), which is ¥360,000 ($2,300) more expensive than before and ¥260,000 ($1,600) pricier than the 100 units of the 2024 Original Edition.
