コロラド州議会下院は、AIチャットボットに関する新たな規制法案「House Bill 26-1263」を可決した。同法案は、チャットボットが利用者に対して「人間ではなく、人工知能である」ことを明確に伝えることを義務付ける内容となっている。
さらに、利用者が自殺や自傷行為について言及した際には、企業側に安全対策を講じることも求められる。加えて、チャットボットによる医療や身体的健康に関する助言の提供も禁止される。
法案の提案者である下院議員ショーン・カマチョ（民主党・デンバー）氏は、「AIシステムには人間と同等の法的責任がないため、州法の抜け穴を埋める必要がある」と説明している。
