More than three dozen snack products sold under numerous brand names are being recalled due to fears that one of their ingredients could be contaminated with Salmonella, a potentially deadly bacterium.

What’s Happening?

Beginning last month, California Dairies Inc. recalled buttermilk and bulk powdered milk distributed to manufacturers over concerns that the ingredients could be contaminated with Salmonella. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a safety alert regarding the recall.

Since the initial recall, multiple brands have recalled their own products that used the affected ingredients. Given the serious health risks posed by Salmonella, the FDA has compiled a single, comprehensive list of all recalled products to alert consumers.

The list primarily includes snack items sold at various locations across the United States, including products available at Target stores.
