米マイクロソフトは先月、米国で長期勤務の社員を対象とした自主退職プログラムを発表した。当初は本日中に詳細を発表する予定だったが、同社内の人事部門サイトに前倒しで掲載されたことが関係者への取材で明らかになった。
同プログラムの対象者は、勤続年数と年齢の合計が70以上の米国在住社員。退職パッケージには、マイクロソフトの医療保険を5年間継続利用できる権利、一時金の支給、未確定のストックオプションの6ヶ月 vestingが含まれる。
同社は、このプログラムを通じて組織の再編を進め、より柔軟な人材配置を目指すとしている。対象者には個別に通知が行われ、参加は任意となっている。
